Disable Virtuemart Login Redirect Overriding other components

I am using other components on my Joomla! site (ie; JomSocial) but when you login and logout of any of them, you are redirected to the Virtuemart Front Page (in my case MY_SITE_URL/shop)

How do I stop this from happening and preferably make all the components stick to their own home pages? I would even be happy for now to redirect to an Article that has links to JomSocial and Virtuemart that the users can select themselves.

Any ideas? It seems that Virtuemart has a few function override issues like this with it's modules and component.

I am using VM 2.0.6 and Joomla! 2.5.4

Interesting. I need to see the page, to get a picture of it. In general, when you are not in the vm component, the router of vm should not be used. For me it is a joomla config thing.

Yeah, it is definitely an odd one. The page is using JomSocial - http://kayakspeshitpillts.com.au/forum
Login using - test / test
It will redirect you to Virtuemart Front Page. I have had this problem before, but am usually able to use modules etc that allow you to specify the redirection. But this JomSocial one is working straight through the component, so a bit trickier. So it tends to be a fairly common issue I have come across.
