Building a reponsive template / problems and advise

First, sorry for my bad english.

Im rebuilding al the views of virtuemart for my responsive template. For the future of webshops this is a must have, my client like it also.

The work is almost finished and i will publish the result here (a blanco developers template). It is beautifull to see virtuemart working on a mobile phone or tablet. i build the template on top of zurb foundation. It's posible to make it also on top of twitter bootstrap (personal i prefer foundation).

On all frontend developers kits (bootstrap, foundation, skeleton) the javascript is put on the divID, the layout is put on de divClass. In virtuemart javascript is put also on divclasses. This is a problem because, by example i want to chance the add to cart button in a standard beautiful button of foundation or bootstrap (for a better UI) it breaks the working of VM. I can't understand why VM put js to a class and not to an ID. With Joomla 3.0 (based on bootstrap) this will create more problems.

Is there anybody who can explain why VM choose to put js on the classes and not on the divID. If you like it i can help the Virtuemart team to chance the template views to make it ready for bootstrap and the future versions of joomla based on bootstrap.
