Add to cart button not working in Internet Explorer

My problem is that my Add to cart button should make a popup with a notice "added to shopping cart". Works perfectly in Chrome and FF. But in IE when I hover over the button I see a link(thats not the case in Chrome and FF) and when I press it nothing happens. Tried different solutions and plugis like jQuery++ Integrator and  jQuery Easy and nothing seems to work.

I'm using Colorshop lite template ( Added only add to cart buttons to the front page and changed the color), Joomla! 2.5.4 Stable, Virtuemart 2.06 and PHP Version 5.2.17.

Does sound like a JavaScript confilct. Try using IE's script debugger.

PHP 5.2.17 is too old for running J2.5 - minimum requirement is 5.2.4 - http://www.joomla.org/technical-requirements.html
