Select variant/child and add to cart directly from category page

I really can't find any information on how to set up VM2 such that the buyer can select the variant/child product and add the product to the cart with one click/from the category page. The price should offcourse update automatic, when the user toggles between the different variants (e.g. weight).

This is essentially for me (or at least for the users). There should not be any need for an extra click, going to the product detail page.
The shopping process should be straight forward.

I have also added the drop-down box, such that the user can select the different variants from the category page, but the user are (after selecting variant) forwarded to the product detail page       The user can add the preferred variant from this page - but this is to much clicking...)
