Hi all.

I have installed VM twice before but I am stuck my latest project - if VM will work.

My client (LED shop) wants a nav structure which based on sections (Interior, Exterior etc), categories (fitting type) and then the actual product  (which will feature parent and child products to encompass different wattage)

Also the client wants users to be able to refine/filter the display of products globally by showing all products that feature a particular fitting. (this would return results of fittings from all sections). Traditionally I would use tags to do this.

Has anybody come across a depth of structure with VM before that goes beyond just categories? Is it possible to make VM categories work to this depth?

Please see simple structure image below.

You can use nested categories and add products to multiple categories. Also you can use Custom filters for product display - see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=100913.0

That should cover your requirements.
