Multi store/Vendor in Virtuemart 3

My client has a website using Virtuemart and he wants to open some new shops. He wants the current website to handle all shops. Basically the website has a parent website which has a link "order online". When clicked, the button should allow the user to enter their postcode and based on that, they should see the appropiate section on the website, and no other section. For example, if the postcode is in Middlesbrough, they'll see the Middlesbrough products and details, and if its in London, they'll see the London products and details.

They're going to open about 4 shops I think. Can Virtuemart handle this? Is there an extension anyone can recommend? Or is it not possible? Thanks.

It is possible. It is a very specific request and I doubt that it is available already, exactly the way you want it. Virtuemart can handle multiple vendors. There are already some different shops using different kinds of multivendor. Take also a look on this please http://www.metamodpro.com/chameleon/shop17
The rest is just a matter of what your customer is ready to invest. I dont know exactly what he wants, but I think for 500-2000 euro it should be possible. Depends on how much you can already solve with 3rd party extensions and how fast you get the idea to solve it (damn I have the solution already), of course.

So basically there isn't an extension currently available to handle what I described? The example website doesn't seem to handle what my client needs.

The website will need to print orders (admin order confirmation email is printed) to the shop specified by the user's postcode.

erhm, you ask for a lot of different things. I said a big part of it is already integrated you dont need an extension. and there are extensions handling most of the rest and the real final rest must be adjusted.
