Hi,

Just wondering if it is possible to add a set letter at teh start of all order numbers? All i want to do is start every order number with the letter T all the rest of the order number can stay. this is so we can tell teh difference between our two companies orders.

Any help would be awesome!

Oh this is joomla 2.5 and VM version 2.0.22

Thanks.

Thanks :) Yeah i've seen that. i emailed asking if them it can have a set letter at the start of every order number but they never replied. their module can change it to lots of formats but no talk of if i can specify a letter to start with. I dont mind how the order numbers are now i just want a T to be at the start of them all. I thought maybe its just in a config file that i can manually put it into but i dont want to change something and break our live site.

Not sure about this one if I am honest - that is one area I ahve not needed to change. Let me know if they get back to you about that plugin though. :)

Will do :) its been 3 weeks so i don't think they are going to reply.

Dear techwarehouse,
Sorry for the late reply, I never got your mail request...

My ordernumber plugin can set the order number to almost any format you desire. You simply give the format as a string, and a # will be replaced by a counter and [variable] will be replaced by the value of the variable (if its a valid variable).

So if you simply want order numbers of the form T98, T99, T100, T101, etc., then you set the format to "T#" (of course without the double quotes). If you want the numbers (i.e. what is inserted instead of the #) to have some leading zeros (e.g. T0098, T0099, T0100), you can set this in the config, too.

You can also try this out at our demo site: http://demo.kainhofer.com/

Best regards,
Reinhold

Thanks heaps :) i used the ask a question form, maybe i didn't send it correctly or i can understand how emails are sometimes just missed haha. I will be ordering your software and thanks for letting me know.

Actually, I checked again and I answered that request on 2014-01-22 09:44.
However, in the email adress you gave in the form, your first name is written with only one "t", so maybe that's the reason why you never got the mail...

techwarehouse

No its only spelt with one haha. Strange maybe it was blocked? who knows. I cant find it just had a quick look. Thanks any way :) Glad to have an answer and solution to our problem :)
