View in stock on product details page

Hi there,

is there any way to show the products in stock on the product page like "in stock 44 pieces" ?

Also is there any way to prevent a shopper for adding more pieces of a product then there are in stock? Like 44 in stock the buyer cant add 45 pieces to his cart because now the buyer gets the message not in stock, continue with shoping.
