Is there a way in VirtueMart 2 to set compound taxes?
Here in Quebec (Canada), the second tax is applied over the first tax and we are required by law to write those two taxes amounts on two different lines so we cannot use a unique percentage rate to do the calculation. In VM 1 there was extensions aivailables to solve this problem like this one http://www.daycounts.com/en/shop/virtuemart/canadian-taxes-for-virtuemart, but in VM2, cannot find any solution yet..

You can use a single stage tax calculation in quebec... With the increase in jan 2012 it is now 14.975%

It is detailed on the revenue quebec web site. http://www.revenuquebec.ca/en/entreprise/taxes/tvq_tps/hausse-taux-tvq-2012-01-01/indication-calcul-taxes.aspx

It would be nice to have a compound tax function though...

Hi agaudreau, thanks for your answer. I always thought it was mandatory to display the amount of each taxes on the invoices. After reading this link, I'm not sure anymore!  ;D
Either way, I found a solution in VM2 to get it working; I use the "Price modifier after tax per bill" calculation kind for the QST.

Hi Spacialek,

Just wanted to know how you were finding VM2 for use on a Canadian Store - like you i have built a Canadian store on VM1.5 in the past with the plugin you mentioned but wanted to know how you find VM2 - e.g. does it all function ok etc?

Regards

Tony
