How to personalize shopFunctionsF ?

Hello,

I need to override some functions into /components/com_virtuemart/helpers/shopfunctionsf.php, but I don't want to have any troubles when VirtueMart is updated.

I've seen this : https://docs.joomla.org/How_to_override_the_component_mvc_from_the_Joomla!_core
but I don't really understand exactly what to do, and what is "code"  .. and it doesn't mention the helper files...

I think it is better you try to merge the code into the core.
