Hi, I just recently (and successfully) moved & migrated my website to other domain name. My old website was using J1.5 & VM 1.1.9, and I moved the whole thing to a new domain (also migrated) with Joomla 2.5/VM 2.0.20b

My current issue right now is to move a good VM template (with tabs) from my old installation file to my new VM files.

Do you guys think it's possible? if it is possible, can you please offer a solution?

Thanks

It is possible to convert a J1.5 template to a J2.5 template. eg see http://magazine.joomla.org/issues/issue-may-2012/item/740-how-to-convert-joomla-15-template-to-joomla-25  or  http://www.ostraining.com/blog/joomla/update-a-joomla-15-template/

But as more people are now using responsive templates with J2.5 maybe you should look at making your template responsive, too. But that is a whole lot harder.........

Hi

My question is somehow similar to the extent that: Can one use a product details flypage which was used in VM 1.1.7 in VM 2.0.22 by just copying it over.

I tried but it does not seem to work.

Kind Regards

No the templating system is completely different - and much more flexible for styling. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=90935.0
