Invoices and pdf mailed to customer

OK I am very confused, it seems that the pdf invoices (the one mailed to the customer, and the one generated from backend) are different (for what reason I have no idea?)

Where do I edit the pdf invoice that is mailed to the customer to remove the discount column??

I have edited out the discount column for all other order/invoice lists but cant seem to find where the pdf mailed to the customer is generated?

On the topic of this:
1. Why does the print invoice from the backend look so terrible? (Is it missing css styling or something?)
2. Why is the logo on the pdf generated in the backend so tiny (and also in black and white) The pdf invoice emailed to the customer the logo etc look fine?
