The component “Google Merchant 4 Vm 2” allows you to generate a product data feed for your Virtuemart store. This feed can be uploaded to your Google Merchant center account.

The product listing generated by the component is in XML format, and can be submitted to Google Merchant Center for scheduled upload. Once uploaded to your Google Merchant center account the feed can be used for Google Product Search, Google Product Ads, and Google Commerce Search.

The product feed supports the all specifications required by Google (see the Google feed specification ) and also supports all the optional attributes and googles category taxonomy. The feed can also support product variants using Virtuemart 2 child products.

The component supports the google categotry taxonomy from 14 countries (Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Spain, Swiss, Czech Republic, U.S.A., England)



Installation:

• Go inthe menu Extensions > Entension Manager, and install the component

Create a new feed:

• Go to Components > Google Merchant 4 VM 2
• Click at the top right of new
• Enter a feed name, feed description, select price calculation whit tax (no tax only USA), select the datafeed country and click on save (the page will be reloaded).
• Now you will see you product categories, and the google category taxonomy (look image 002).
• Select the product Condition from the “select box”
• Select the categories which you will create the feed “multiselect box”
• Select the google product taxonomy (use the search function)
• Select the shipment method
• Click on save

Now u can copy the feed link and past it to your google merchant center account.

For multilingual use you can easily add the language code on the link (?lang=de, ?lang=en, ?lang=it)
