catalogue mode with order function

Hi there,

I have a client who wants to display products without prices but would still like to be able to add products to a list with product information and number to order to be sent to administration. No paying online. Is this possible. I know there is a 'use as a catalogue' setting, but this disables add to cart function (which I could use as place order?). If I don't fill in the payment section would that give me what I want?

Did you ever get an answer on this? I also want to be able to place and order without payment and have a sales rep contact the orderer.

I have seen others turn off the prices and then try and purchase - lots of difficulties with the cart.

0 prices - but you could always try.

But you could both try this - 1) add a product , always say on the front heading and in the product description, category description that your
products are for sale - " after customer contact"

* then modify the ask a  question button - in the lagnuage file( folder) it will have the wording "ask a question" - maybe just change the wording to
"Iam interested in this product please contact me "  , or any version.

* you will get the customers email address - But not " posting address"  - at least you are then off the mark -
