need to return to site or confirmation mails are not sent?

Weird problem.

When I Checkout with paypal everything works correctly, after payment the order changes to confirmed.

BUTT The confirmation emails are only sent out if the user chooses to redirect to my site (when they get a security error, saying connection is unsafe), only if the click accept are the emails sent..

Ofcourse not everyone returns to the site and clicks accept and in that case no mails are sent out(even though order is confirmed inside virtuemart directly after payment).. does anyone know what the problem could be?

Joomla 2.5/VM2.0.2

Hi what version of joomla and VM are you using?

My live site is running 1.7.3 and VM2.0.0 and I get that same problem. I've upgraded to 2.5/VM2.0.2 today on localhost and it seems worse. As previously, if the user clicked continue then they would get the confirmation. In 2.0.2 now even if they click continue then they do not get a confirmation message. Anyone else got this problem?
