The post was read over 5000 times.

In this old forum is a possible start to a plug in for the Australian Commonwealth Bank - If anyone was good enough this would be a winner in Australia. We have only 4 to 5 major banks and this in the biggest.

A direct link to netbanking would be good.

This would be a definite - money earner plugin.

Hi John,
We are building VM2 Commweb 3 Party plugin for one of our clients, but the plugin landscape hasn't exactly been stable.

Currently the project is on hold until VM 2.0.1 is finalised... so hopefully soon.

Cheers

Just an update on this.

The plugin is a VM2.x style payment plugin, it's completely new and isn't based of a 1.1.x payment plugin.

The plugin is built to work with the CommWeb MIGS based 3-Party payment system (ie. it's like PayPal in that the user is redirected to the banks payment page and then redirected back to the shop website after completing or cancelling the payment).

We've nearly completed the plugin to the banks satisfaction, ie. we're finalising the test suite they require before they will turn on a merchants live account.

Once the test suite is complete the plugin will be considered to be complete and ready for installation on VM2 website. This is where we hit a problem.

The underlying MIGS code that is used in the plugin cannot be re-sold or distributed - this is the banks position and it seems final.

We have argued that the original restrictions were for the original Java implementation (where you had to install a Java VM and applet on your server) and I've asked them to go up the chain but this could take a while to get a valid response.

Hi cppl,

For Australians- this will be a big step - I can see of cause when they give permission that will charge the Vendor - an exorbidant rate to have that connection.

Or the Bank will set a restriction on connections - ie we will need a 50 digit key to attach to our plugin.

* however - if you get this going for  a few major banks - I bet you have a little barganing power.
This plugin will be a good sale plug in for you.

At the moment the time delay of funds transfer and having a third party keep (MY) money if a factor that sellors somethimes do not like especially that ausie mentality.

I see that developers locally will be able to encourage more web shopping if they feel that have direct connection with their bank-.

I'm confused.

We use the MIGS plugin with ANZ, Bendigo and Commonwealth at present with no issues whatsoever

MIGS system is Mastercard not bank owned and when we set this up all our communication was with the MIGS people and not the bank.

Clients paid nothing more to access the system because we used the system.

I'm moving to VM 2.0 shortly and we are looking for a developer to migrate the same.
Don't see that the MIGS system will be an issue

Interested to know if anyone has experienced anything different
