Image Size for each product - "saving time"

Hi ppl!

Whenever I want to add an image for each product (good image size and quality), I'll have to open the image program editor and then create an image with the following size:
width: 600px
height: 480px

thumbnail size in VM2 admin> Configuration> Template> Media Files Settings:
width: 154px
height: 123px

My question is, whenever I find an image with a larger size (height or width), the VM2 can automate this display size without the need for having to go to image editing software?
Even if the height or width is different in this pixels area 600px x 480px?
If possible, can somebody explain the process, please?
