what happens when you switch templates?>

what happens when you disable the add this module?

Kschuler

I have tried to switch templates.  It takes about 30 min for the site to fully switch over to the new template.  I will have to try to switch it at night when there are not so many people on it, maybe it will go faster?

I cannot find a "add this module", would that be in my module list?

what do you mean it takes 30 minutes to fully switch over?

do you have the "system cache" plugin enabled? if so, turn it off.

The add this module is in the module manager, its the facebook, and all that at the top left of the page.

how long have you been using joomla?

Kschuler

My system cache was enabled, I turned it off.  I can't seem to find out what module controls the facebook "add this" stuff.  I have turned off almost all my modules.  All that I have enabled is:
Breadcrumbs
Kunena Menu
Main Menu
Search
Top
User Menu
Who's online
Wrapper

Everything else is turned off.

This is my first website, so I have been doing this almost 2 months.

PRO

go in module manager, and look at the type dropdown, like the picture attached

I do not see what I am suppose to?  I do not understand?  The types of the published modules:
Name                         Position                    Type
Breadcrumbs       breadcrumb       Breadcrumbs
Kunena Menu       kunena_menu       Menu
User Menu       position-7       Menu
Main Menu       menuload       Menu
Search               position-0       Search
Who's Online       :: None ::       Who's Online
Wrapper               :: None ::       Wrapper

Do I need to turn off one of these?

PRO

is it in the plugins?

did your template come with it already?

Kschuler

I found it!  In the templates, right next to the "slidshow" is the "add this".  So I clicked hide.  I hope same as disable.  I had to wait for a little bit for it to get off all pages.  As soon as I didn't see it at the top anymore, I tested.  No change.  Do I need to take the files away in FTP? Like I did with the slider?

PRO

no, and dont go deleted things with ftp

to UNCHECK, use external google jquery

PRO

turn on "product scripts" and that will fix your problem

Kschuler

So the box next to "Use external google jquery library" has no check.  The box next to "Using the product Scripts" is checked.  If this is correct, still no change.  Thank you very much for your patience with me, I am so very sorry.  I will not go delete files using FTP.  I am thankful for your help.

PRO

when you click the menu link at the top, it deletes products from cart, weird

PRO

but if I click the link and it says deleted,

THEN, I change the link in the url bar to this

index.php?&Itemid=491

^^ which is the same link , but no com_virtuemart&view=cart    the item is back there.

are you using any template overrides?
