Hi,
I've upgraded but all of my store's data was deleted.
Joomla 1.7.3.
Thanks

Everything. Backend, frontend.  Everything is empty.

Using the akeeba upgrade integrated in VM.
I also tried manually, but couldn't do it.  The WIKI is quite vague ragarding this.
I copied the files from the V2.0 version to their respective locations, but... the explanation kind of stops there, because there is no "install" directory, and clicking the "restore defaults" just deletes the store's config as I did it so far...
Anyway, I'd rather auto install to work :)

Please read this first. For me it looks like you used the tools and deleted your data. When you do a manual install, you must use

"Install tables or if necessary update them"
This is very important for people who use the svn. This executes the updater function of the installer and updates your tables to the newest layout.

I did it...
But all it did was delete the data and make my Joomla show a white screen.
I'm not a newbie in this :)
The problem remains - upgrading does delete the data.
I click on upgrade now, and it shows white screen.  When I return to joomla, it shows white screen on frontpage, and all my products are deleted.
Luckily I have a back up made b4 the upgrade :)

Sorry - I mixed 2 cases here:
When I updated via the Akeeba upgrade option, it showed a white screen after installation.  When I got back to Joomla, all products were deleted (frontend and backend).
When I tried the manual upgrade (with the option you suggested here), it kept the products, but did not upgrade (I could still see the akeeba upgrade arrow showing on backend) and in addition, on frontend, the screen was white.
Hope it's clearer now.

hmmm, I need to see your installation,

The normal update is also just to install it with the extension installer, directly over it

Important! Disable akeeba enhanced installer, disable joomla debug !
Use mysql and not mysqli, when you use j1.7 and php5.3
