Couldn't connect to host error when clicked on the "Product" Menu

Hi,

I am using Joomla 1.7 with VirtueMart 2 but when i click on the "Product" link in the admin module, I see this error:

1 - An error has occurred.

couldn't connect to host

Return to Control Panel


When I click on all other menu, it is ok.

Please let me know if anyone have solved this prblem.

Yes, from the main site. The file name is "com_virtuemart.2.0.0_extract_first.zip"

I tried to delet all data, I manage to go into the menu but once I added 1 item, I cannot go into the menu again.

Yes i am using super user to login and it is a clean installation.

Oh by the way, I also have the same error when viewing product at frontend.

would anyone have a suggestion????!!!!

I am having exactly the same problem using J1.7.3 and VM2 on localhost. Getting error "1 - An error has occurred" when clicking on product (and inventory) in backend while all other backend tabs seem ok and frontend also no problem.

Am stuck and hardly anything comes out when googling...
