Problem with price visualization

Hi people i have a big problem with price visualization

This is what i want


Simple product

Price: € xxx


Product with discount

Price: € xxx
Discount: € xxx
Final Price: € xxxx


So i have thi situation for discount price but for simpe product i have everytime two price
base price: € xxxx
Final price: € xxxx


How to have a single price for simple product?

Did you get to any solutions?
I am still trying to understand the basic underlying pricing mechanism as I found this nowhere explained.

What is Base price and what is Final price?
can somebody explain here in simple terms or link to the right place where to find more information about the concept aplied?

Suggestion to the developers:
As this (at least in my view) is not intuitive and obvious for everybody, at least not for those new to ecomerce, why don´t you put some small explanation into tooltips, this would speed up learning curve and release you from the most basic questions...
