Independent development of export-import
« on: November 13, 2011, 08:30:52 am »
Module import and export goods through the format of the csv.

The module is intended for export and import data from the shop Virtue Mart and tested on Joomla 1.5.22 and VM 1.1.6 (although tried previous versions of Joomla 1.5.25 and VM 1.1.9.

This program is not a competitor com_csv_improved but only a complement for specific tasks.

Demonstration site (Joomla 2.5.9, VM 2.0.20b) http://mirra.hol.es

To save in OpenOffice with the following parameters need to select Save As, at the set
a) CHANGE tick filter settings and SAVE with the parameters separator character ^
b) Text delimiter character ~, encoding Cyrillic (Windows-1251))

In order to export and import data into a csv file to:
1. Install the module from the archive mod_hellofrom.zip. As a result of installation, a new module Export Import.
2. Configure the module (position: left, Access: specifically to run the module at the entrance to a administrator password.)
3. The result of the program will be a file Export export.csv being in the root folder of joomla. (This file can be downloaded via FTP client or a link module)
4. The result of the program will be appended to the Import VM product from a file located import.csv in the root folder of joomla. This file must be downloaded using an FTP client or the module itself. If the import is to be established for categories of goods, they will create automatically. If the product is already in the database, then re-entered it will not.
5. Pictures of products which are referenced in the CSV file must be written using an FTP client
  in the directory \ components \ com_virtuemart \ shop_image \ product for VM 1.9
in the directory \ images \ stories \ virtuemart \ product for VM2
The structure of the data files export and import of the following

These columns are filled in the file import.csv (one line for each item):
1. A good article
2. Product name
3. Price
4. Currency
5. Name of the category
6. Brief description of the goods
7. Full product description
8. Small picture of the goods
9. Big picture of the goods
10. Products available
11. Item ID
12. Category ID
13. Parent category

Current - Made module mod_hellofrom_2.0.20_ru_ru (in attachment). All previous issues are solved with prices
30/07/2012 - :) good day did the module for Joomla_2.5.6, VM 2.0.8e (mod_hellofrom_2.0.8_en-GB, mod_hellofrom_2.0.8_ru_ru)
16/12/2011 - Module for VM 2.0.0_RC3
Because the new version has changed several tables in her previous modules do not work.
17/11/2011 - mod_hellofrom_1.9.8.RC2.zip for Joomla 1.7, VM Virtuemart1.9.8.RC2k
22/05/2011 - In the program, the coefficient of price changes of goods
02/04/2011 - In the program mode appeared commodity price adjustment
02/03/2011 - The program now exports and imports by category
06/02/2011 - The program is a module Joomla 1.5

Brief description (instructions) and test case (examples of CSV files) in the archive. ;)
The program consists of two sub-Export and Import. To read the file I used export.csv . The archive module has a sample file export.csv . Encoding Cyrillic (UTF8) module is also available in the archive file example import.csv .

Unfortunately not yet made

There is only readmy.txt  in archive module

Install as a normal module

The module is intended for export and import data from the shop Virtue Mart

(He began to write himself because he was tired tune com_csv_improved)

The program consists of two sub-Export and Import

The archive module has a sample file export.csv To read the file I used export.csv

OpenOffice .

while asking as a separator character ^ but as the text delimiter character ~, encoding

Cyrillic (UTF8) module is also available in the archive file example import.csv

delimiter character ^ but as the text delimiter character ~, encoding Cyrillic (Windows-1251).

(To save in OpenOffice with the following parameters need to select Save As, at the set

CHANGE tick filter settings and SAVE with the parameters delimiter character ^

text delimiter character ~, encoding Cyrillic (Windows-1251))

In order to export and import data into a csv file to

1. Install the module from the archive mod_hellofrom.zip. As a result of installation, a new module

Export Import.

2. Configure the module (position: left, Access: specifically to run the module at the entrance to a

administrator password.)

3. The result of the program will be a file Export export.csv being

in the root folder of joomla. (This file can be downloaded via FTP client or a link module)

4. The result of the program will be appended to the Import VM product from a file located import.csv

in the root folder of joomla. (This file must be downloaded using an FTP client or the module itself)

(If the import is to be established for categories of goods, they will create automatically.

If the product is already in the database, then re-entered it will not)

5. Pictures of products which are referenced in the CSV file must be written using an FTP client

in the directory \ images \ stories \ virtuemart \ product

Hello
Initially, our shop size and weight of goods
role not played (they are not very large). But it was very convenient for a year that data structure is not changed. In the near future I plan to make full English version of the module and Activities change data structures to take account of what you say (in fact it is not difficult).

hello

If you have VM 2.0.0 RC3 or VM 2.0.0
it needs a module mod_hellofrom_2.0.0_RC3.zip (in attachment)
because these stores have changed the database

If you have VM 1.9.8 RC2 need a module mod_hellofrom_1.9.8.RC2

If you have a VM 1.1.x you need a module mod_hellofrom_1.1.9

(Apparently I did not clear it was written.)

Hi Mirra,

Thanks for your work.

Your latest module works in joomla 1.7 and VM 2.0 ?

My english is not very good and I'm not sure if I understood well the post.

Yes, he is saying that if you use VM 2.0 you need to use the download mod file for 2.0RC3 as this is the latest version supporting the RC3/final database changes. :)

Great work on this, I have a site with a large number of products and cannot wait to try your new English version when it becomes available, excellent  ;D

Thanks for the headsup, BT, I have been using CSVI4 beta2 which is already impressive. Also good to see an alternative being developed.

Hello.
I would like the next version of the module to significantly expand, change the format of the data.
Therefore, much will need to alter significantly and it will take some time.
