migration from vm1 to vm2: how to import images

Hallo, friends! Need your help.

3. Copy your vm1 images into the desired folders (you can also adjust the paths in the config to your old vm folders)
4. Go to Migration and Tools in the backend.

so on vm2 config page i set up paths to vm1 images

com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/
com_virtuemart/shop_image/category/

etc

and after that start migration and all vm1 products images will be importet in vm2 shop. am i right?

i went this way yesterday and pics don't import =( and migrator says

Migrator store medias Media file %s should have a mimetype
