how to configure Bank Debit payment method type on PayPal ?

Hi
I want to do online payment using Bank account. I see in VirtueMart payment method list a option Bank Debit. I select it and save But at the time of  payment(checkout) Bank Account payment option isn't shown. I want to do it with PayPal New API payment method.
please help me to do this.

please describe how it works and what works.

The "Bank debit" payment module uses eCheck.net - now authorize.net and you must already have an account set up with them - fill in the details on the Payment Method Form configuration tab.

This is nothing to do with PayPal.

when I choose 'Bank Debit' for PayPal New API method then  VirtueMart module doesn't want user Input for bank information such as Bank Account No./Routing No./ Bank Name etc at time of checkout. But why? PayPal doesn't implement this type of payment method?

Paypal API must be set at "Use payment processor" under Payment method type: (ie use Paypal to process the payment). The other options including those such as "Accepted Credit Card Types:" are not to be touched for PayPal, either. You just need to ensure you put the correct details on the configuration tab of the Payment Method Form.
