I spent the last three days trying to set up Paypal to work on a website accepting ZAR, from what I can figure out the currency_convert.php file is missing from /administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/currency_convert.php
I have looked for it in other possible locations and tried to unzip the VM.zip files I have on my computer and still havent found it anywhere so that I can copy it to the above location.  Am I doing something wrong?  I keep getting the error
This recipient either does not accept payments denominated in ZAR or has specified an invalid currency code on his web site. Please contact the seller and ask him either to update his payment receiving preferences to accept this currency or to correct his web site to specify a valid currency code.
And i figure it is related to the missing file  ??? :'(

I am running VM 1.1.2 and Joomla 1.5.14
I have followed all instructions I can find including http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=17979.msg58194#msg58194 but when I get to the part where I need to find this file I am stumped.

I had the same problem and after further investigation it turns out that Paypal do not allow the processing of ZAR in South Africa. The only currency accepted is USD.

I have not found a work around, but it seems that if you can force the currency to change from ZAR to USD when selecting the Paypal method of payment then it should work.

Not sure if the above is possible...

Have you made any progress?

Same problem here - don't have a currency_convert.php file and don't know where to find one. Man this is frustrating! I presume no solution to this as yet ?
