I was surprised to find that there is no paypal pro module integrated with virtuemart. Is there a module that can be installed that will work for 1.1.3?

Hello,

I am suprised also.

Yes I know it is different in all the countries but I have now tried to buy VM PayPal Pro UK, and alaso anothe free solution for PAYPAL PRO, but NNNNOOOOOO luck.

a) the UK commercial version, the website cannot take payment via PayPal, they blocked them, that is for PayPal Pro UK,
b) the only free one, http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension-specific/virtuemart-extensions/virtuemart-payment-systems/6310/details, zero instructions, no installations file, it seems to only overwrite files, so I did it, nothing, did not find a PayPal Pro UK module in payments list, or anyhwere anything I can use to enable Pro UK.

Is there anybody who can help?

I have https now on the website, the latest VM, spent last 14 hours migrating everything from Joomla 1.0.15 to Joomla 1.5, so VM 1.1.3 installed and working. now I would like to enable the PRO feature and https.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi there,

Ive been going through the exact same issues as you by the sounds of it. I eventually cracked it though.

What I found out is the Paypal Pro UK module that you can buy from myjoomlaextentions is infact a copy of the orgional one made by cowboy, and is selling without his permission. So he has made it available free to you via his webiste http://www.webresolve.net/joomla.

Also, the Paypal Pro UK one doesnt actually seem to be fully functional and actually refers to Payflow Pro. Which is something entirely different.

So, to get it working in the end I discovered that the Paypal Pro US extension on http://www.webresolve.net/joomla will infact do the same job, they are as far as I can tell the same. They both are connected to the same international Paypal US site, all I had to do is edit the functions.php file to set the currency to GDP and it all works fine!

Good luck!
