Hi,

I am a big big fan of VM. It is a great approach for a shopping cart. (The best I know)

I hope that is not so controversial what i say and I become flamed.

My experience with open source projects is, that you perhaps hould add a new section on the website seperated from the forum.

You should add some kind of contrib/extension directory.

You find this for example here for osc http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions or even extensions.joomla.org

I thnk this kind of place helps people to find easier modifications. Forums should still exist for support the extensions.

I would also allow commercial devs to list their apps. I think 95% of the shops are not for fun and playing. They are for earning some money. So I think most of the shop owners would pay for good additions (like in germany for oscware to conncet lexware and osc).

I think one point why sugarcrm is much more succesful then vtiger (although vtiger is better software) that it has a bigger pro community around it.

I would offer my help to moderate such a conrib/extension dir.

I live in Germany so my timezone is GMT+1

Best regards

Niels
