Vendor and a pending email

Hello i have a small problem the last few months.
I think when i update VM 3 last update i stop receiving email when the order is in status pending.
When i change the status lets say to confirm status i recieve the email and shopper does too.
Only on pending i never receive. I check in order status on parameters and its correct, vendor recieve email! On configuration settings on the tab shop order the vendors is selected on all the options. So everything seems ok but i dont receive the email.
The only way to know about theorder is from our bank account statement.  Is there a way to fix it or a way to confirm automatically?
