Custom fields as editor

I noticed that...

1. if the custom field is set as "Text Editor" no matter what I set from the product backend page it will get no value and the default description of the field is displayed.
So if i try to use it as a tab with the JCE editor it will not work. 

2. if the custom field is set as "String" then the custom field will work normal and whatever is typed in it that will work.

My question is , is that the normal operation?
Why not to be able to use the custom fields as editor and do so in the product custom field tab?

You set text editor customfield?

And what about you wrote?
You don't see desciption on FE?
You don't see customfiled on FE?
