Notification messages persistence

Hello,
in a J4/VM4 project I noticed that notification messages can't be closed clicking on the top-right X sign.
Every notification remains visible until page refresh.

Are there known solutions about this problem?

Suggest you update to the latest release, VM 4.0.12.10777:

thanks for your reply.
I just updated the whole website to the last Joomla release and to the 4.0.12.10777 VM release as suggested but the result is the same: the messages are permanent until the page refresh

Any advice?

Works fine for me using that VM version with the Cassiopeia template. Try a different template?
