pricing rules on categories.

If i have a product in 2 categories, and a discount rule for 1 of those 2 categories, the rule also applies when the product is shown in the other category. how can this be changed? it is somewhere in the calculation.php but i cannot find it...

You cannot apply a discount in only a category for same product.
And suppose your user search the product again and find it in another category ?
If you want complains, it's the best way to have some !
