Sales Price and discounted price

Hi Guys,

I have followed post on this forum related to my issues, but they are arounf 2015 - 2018 and says what Jorgen suggested.

I have added 2 screenshots, one of the configuration for pricing and one off what I see on the fronted.  I i only tick 'Base price with tax but without discount'  I dont see any price at all.

Will give it a day or two reading and testing then I will admit defeat.

You guys on the forum were very helpfull with this.  Just a pitty it does not work in protostar either

For the display here I use "Baseprice with Tax, but without discounts"  and  "Final salesprice"

It works fine for me, so it sure looks like you have a template problem.  The top image is with a Hera template and the lower is the same page using Protostar.

We all know that this works for the protostar template, I would try to assign the Protostar template to the whole Joomla install just to make sure. I would also check the html output and see if the price is created but hidden by css.

I think better is write to Joomlart support.
If you bought template for Joomlart (we bought developer subscription plus primary VIP support), then support send you info how can you change.
And if you have knowlidge about php and css, the change is about 10 seconds.
If not, in admin VM you can't setup right.

Definitelly is not problem Virtuemart but issues with template.

So many information and ideas.

So the problem is with the Joomlart template install.

This is what I did and it works:

1.  I install Joomla on its own. 
2.  I then Install VM. 

That all works. 

3.  I then install the joomlart template and defaulting it, that worked as well.

But when I install full Joomlart template auto install, something breaks.

Sorry but we are not herr to give support fort Joomlart's software. I think we have given the support that would be considered more than reasonable.
Talk to Joomlart about this.

Looks like you are using a non base template to show details.
Try:

"Baseprice with Tax, but without discounts"

If that does not work then look further below:

See the file components\com_virtuemart\sublayouts\prices.php or look in your override to compare

You can create the display you require in any overrides


Then try to see what the product looks like on the base protostar without any template overrides

When you have the default base template and vm template working then look here:

Then follow the guideline:

So as indicated by 3. the Joomlart template works OK for you when you follow what we would consider to be the correct and safest way to install Joomla/VM/ - so WTF then install what appears to be a badly configured quickstart template package?

You followed what we consider to be the correct (and professional) way to install - first Joomla. followed by VirtueMart and if that works OK then install your chosen template to get the layout that you require.  I don't know how many times we have advised against using quickstart install packages.

JoomlArt template is 2 option for instalation:

- joomla + template + css for VirtueMart (vithout instalation VM and VM AIO)
- template + css for VirtueMart

I recommend and use this process for new eshop:

1. Install full instalation Joomla + setup
2. Install VM without sample data, next VM AIO, next VM TCPDF + setup
3. Install JoomlArt template + T3 plugin + any next modules and plugins from JoomlArt + setup template form documentation + setup as basic

I recommend and use this process for testing new version VM (DEV eshop):

1. Install full instalation Joomla + setup
2. Install VM with sample data, next VM AIO, next VM TCPDF + setup + setup basic template Protostar + check
3. Install JoomlArt template + T3 plugin + any next modules and plugins from JoomlArt + setup template form documentation + setup basic template JoomlArt + check
4. Connect to gitlab, create master branch and devel branch
5. Check all function
6. Repost to VM forum and JoomlArt forum
7. Fix all error in branch devel
8. Merge to branch master
9. Pull to production eshop
