Authorize.net MD5 Hash End of Life/API Integration Updates?

Does anybody else here use authorize.net as their payment processor and understand what is going on with the MD5 Hash End of Life and Signature Key Replacement? I got in touch with their support to try and ask what exactly it meant but all they could do was point me to the article linked and tell me to get in touch with my web developer. Unfortunately I am the one who cares for our website and I don't understand all the terminology or know how to figure out if that means something needs to be updated in order for our site processing to continue working or not.    I hope somebody here can tell me I am overthinking it...and information overload has me worried for something that won't affect us.
