Problem with Language Switching in Product Detail

I have a very strange problem. I have two languages ( Greek and English) and when i switch between the languages in Joomla everything works fine.
When I switch in Virtuemart category pages between languages also works fine .
However  when I am in a product detail page ( say Greek )  and switch language instead of going to the product detail page in English it goes to the category page of the product in English.   I have this problem with all my websites using Virtuemart .... you can see the problem in https://www.rapidsat.com.cy or https://artisticbazaar.com/ .

Steps to reproduce
1. Go to https://artisticbazaar.com/gr/pinakes-zografikis/prosopografies/painting-rainy-day-buy
2. Press the English Language flag form the drop down language switcher
3. Instead of going to the relevant product page it brings you to the category page.

Any help would be much appreciated.

afaik there is no 1 to 1 lang switching between products -- this would only work if u had linked Joomla menus to every product

I am using this module from Patrick and my experience with it is is good. It switches between languages without leaving details page. I can recommend this.

Thank  you for your answer ... Great to know this is normal behaviour for virtuemart. It would be great to see this problem resolved in future releases.
