Hi All

I installed shipping by rules for Joomla 3.8 and Virtuemart 3.2.14

I cannot find a way to offer shipping of a product from category A(Seedlings/plants), for free,  if a product from Category B(Actually large loads of soil/compost). If nothing from B is purchased then shipping fee for A remains as normal.

Has anyone successfully dealt with this?

basically if someone orders a large truck load of soil or compost then any plants will be added to the load and shipped at no cost. If they order plants only then we need to still charge for shipping - i hope it makes sense

I would do it by nominal weights --- truckload of soil set mega heavy and free ship if weight is more than mega heavy

thank you - this unfortunately won't work though due to my setup. The problem is that if someone orders 3x loads then the weight will be heavier and there will be free shipping.

I only want to exclude certain products from shipping only on the condition that other products have been bought. For the category that handles the large loads there must be a charge per load irrespective of how many have been bought - that rule i have setup with a cost per article. The problem with that rule is that it doesnt differentiate between articles and charges for each item ordered.

How?

I said NOMINAL weights...

trees etc 1kg

load of soil 1000kg

set this rule to only apply to +1000kg carts
