Joomla 1.5 Virtuemart 1.1.9 an sh404sef

Hi

I have read tutorials how to migrate joomla and virtuemart to 3.x version. The problem is that I also use sh404sef and I am very afraid that my product urls will change and I will loose position in google.

Do you have any idea how to do it?

I am also willing to pay for it.

I got rid of sh404sef with the change from Joomla 1.5 to 1.6 already and don't care about losing old urls in Google, because since a few years you can easily submit new urls using their 'Fetch as Google' tool https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en

But before using that, I would recommend to add these plugins to your shop:

Of course you should take care of your product meta descriptions first. Then submit a few urls using the 'Fetch as Google' tool manually and check the serps for possible improvements. After that I would suggest to submit the sitemap, which would include all your new urls automatically.

But currently i have about 5000 product which means 5000 urls

But I dont know how it handles links now, is already some years ago that I used it.
