PATH instead URL for IMAGES. And load images form other website

We have a client which wants such options to be implemented in the administration section of VM
Once the code is developed, we want to be donated to the Virtuemart team to be embedded in it.
Offers only from known forum users with posts and references...

These option must be selectable with radio button 1) VM Original .... 2) Absolute PATH 3) External URL
This have to be translatable.
The field have to be the same as original. Only changes from radio button for type of link.

1) Original VM option

Load from: images/virtuemart/product/

2) If you want to load images form other site/user in you hosting/VPS. Something like Safe Path

Load from: /home/user/public_html/images/virtuemart/product/
Instead of: images/virtuemart/product/

3) If you want to load images from external website.

Load from: www.yoursite.com/some_directory/
Instead of: images/virtuemart/product/

Not sure what the difference is between 2 and 3.
Loading images from local filesystem cannot be reached from web unless its exposed to the web.
therefore i think the option you are looking for is whether or not it is possible to make use of a CDN domain that images can be loaded from. Is that correct?

VM store only data for file name of product.
Example: product_image_01.jpg

You have to combine PATH + Product image file name

In VM administration you can set the road to this image
OPTION form WEBSITE: You can set http://www.site.com/images/large_images/
Or
OPTION PATH form server:
USER 2 instead USER1 of your hosting VPS or cloud
/home/USER1/public_html/folder/sub_folder

ORIGINAL OPTION
Domain level or something like that
images/custom_folder
images/virtuemart/product/
