Error 1054 after upgrade to VM 3.2.0

After yesterday's update to VM 3.2.0 I receive Error 1054  Unknown column 'cat_params' in 'field list' SQL=UPDATE `#__virtuemart_categories` SET
I Use CSVI for batch imports. The Joomla version is 3.6.5. Any help is appreciated.

I followed the lead. It changed the Error from 1054 to 1074  .
Further investigations in which I used a backup on my testwebsite to return from VM 3.2.0 to 3.0.18 showed that the problem is related to VM 3.2.0, probably because the plugins are not upgraded. So I look forward to VM 3.2.1
By the way, can I on my live website reinstall the VM 3.0.18 aio, saving me the effort to use the backup?

I just saw that 3.2.1 was released.  It fixed the error 1054 mentioned here having to do with utf8mb4 encoding and a limit of 16383 characters. However, it created  a new issue on install.

Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 65535. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs SQL=ALTER TABLE `#__virtuemart_categories` ADD `cat_params` varchar(16383) NOT NULL DEFAULT '' AFTER `hits`

I get this error when I click install or if necessary update tables.
