product page custom field price attributes won't update when saved

Hi i'm working with Joomla 3.6.4  and Virtuemart 3.0.18
I'm experiencing problems trying to update product page custom field attributes prices. I enter the new prices save,  go the web browser  refresh the page but the  the prices don't change or update. Has anyone had problems like this.  What am I doing wrong?
