creating Menu link to product details loads broken page

Hard to describe page which loads - see attached screen shot

Menu items can be created ok for all other components / articles etc - even some sections of VM - eg account maintenance, category layout, etc - but the product details option loads a broken page

any help would be greatly appreciated

You have a fatal error, so the page stop to load.
Try to enable PHP error report, you can set it server side or change the error reporting level in the Joomla Config, so you see the problem
