non existant shipping method showing

When I started using my template it came with some VM ready built including some dummy shipping methods. As per usual the exemplars had lorum ipsum text. I deleted the method and made my own working ones. Now on SOME orders the deleted shipping method appears on invoices and orders but takes the correct shipping cost. Any ideas where to look for what must be a trashed method hiding somewhere?

Too many people have problems with "quickstart" packages! What's wrong with building a Joomla site, installing VM and then installing a template? Then you know exactly what has been set up.

Check that no extra ship methods appear in the backend list, check in the database that there are no other methods listed, eg in   ###_virtuemart_shipmentmethods table.

However if the shipping cost is correct then you should also check language files, except that I would expect language issues to appear on all invoice & orders

thanks for the answer. As to why use quickstart, usually only when the original structure is either not documented or documented in foreign language and doesnt translate well, ie without the quickstart you dont see how it is supposed to be used.

thanks for suggestions i will try, but it is puzzling that the one original shipping method has become ghost but any changes I make stay gone.
