Hi!
Is it possible to migrate from Woocommerce to Virtuemart?

Studio 42

It's always possible, but manually.
Some compagny do it for you. Eg https://www.shopping-cart-migration.com/shopping-cart-migration-options/6689-woocommerce-to-virtuemart-migration
But dont know if they migrate all correctly.

Thank you for replying! Do you know where to get an faq or turorial or guide how to do it manually? I don't have the resource to pay for a service..

You could possibly export the Woo products to csv, adjust the data to comply with VM requirements and import using CSVi

https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-import-suite-exporting-products-and-variations/   (there are a few plugins available to do this)

jenkinhill - do you know if anybody has done this successfully? I have a client who's had "nothing" but problems due to all the mandated plugins for WP and WooCommerce. I told him a long time ago he shouldn't be using a VW to tow a boat.
I had the same thought yesterday as you about taking a sample CSV from VM export, match the column titles to the correct data and then import to VM all the data from WC. But before venturing down that road I thought I'd ask if anybody has done this successfully. I don't find anything other than services that offer to do this for you...at a minimum of $200.
Thanks.

The people I know who have migrated have used Cs=art to Cart or a similar service. I guess it is a balance between using a system that apparently works compared to one which would require probably a lot of time and some trial and error. Time is money....

@LTCreations : In all case it's a nightmare to migrate any shop to other, if you  don't find a tool.
You have to know how the data are saved in the DB for each system and sometime some type of data do not exist and you have to find an alternative way to import it.
So 200$ to migrate from one shop to another is a gift.
