How to process payment offline

Helo my vm friends. I am helping a friend with a small shopping cart setup and he is wanting to process credit cards offline on his manual terminal. I have tried testing with "Standard" as payment method but there is no place to enter CC info.

I did search and see there is a plugin for this but am surprised offline processing is not standard with build. ?? Or did I miss it somewhere?

I am not very skilled at programming but learning every day. I hope I dont ask too basic a question, and if so please push me in best direction. Many thanks my friends.

I have lates joomla! 3.6 and latest vmart 3016. Both are showing as the most up to date onmy end.
