Sub-Category Does Not Show Up

So I am trying to get the store to look great before I add the shopping cart, but I ran into a problem that I can't seem to figure out with categories. I went to the online demo and checked the settings to see if there was anything that I did different and I do not notice anything out of place I am using Joomla 3.5.1 and VM 3.0.16 the store is here for reference http://www.access1alarm.com/shop

I want the store to be set up as the main category then sub cat, then product... I just can't seem to find why the sub category is not showing up.

I am looking to have it show as remote controls as one of the main categories then once clicked on it would show the sub categories of viper, avital, python, etc... then the products listed under the sub category.

This is not happening though and I have both Avital and Viper in subcategories of the parent remote controls. I just don't see where they are on the website

Thank you for the fast response and the help, that was it (menu). I started looking a little further and found that in the joomla menu for category layout, show category was not selected. I accidentally found this as there is only one menu that had the category layout, the other menus both in my main, drop down and bottom joomla menus were storefront which is what I was looking at and there is no real selections in there. So basically I screwed up. Thank you for the help
