duplicate custom fileds related products

Hi all,

i need create a plugin like related products custom field.
Is there a simple way to duplicate this plugin?

with a different name, different SQL tables, etc., but functionally identical

This is not a plugin but included in core.
If you don't understand how it work, then don't do it
Because doing a vmcustom plugin is 10 time harder to write as this.
