Hello again.

I run VM 3.0.12 and J3.4.8 and I have difficulties in implementing "Recently Viewed Products" module in Details View. More specifically the number of products remains unchangeable and is always 3 no matter what I try. It seems to me that the "VirtueMart ShopFront Settings" interfere with the number of Recently Viewed Products. If I choose instead of Recent Products another available category, just like Featured, everything works like a charm.
Also I wonder  if there's a way to omit the currently viewed product, in order to use the module in Product Details View. A work around would be to display e.g. 4 products and hide one of them.

I need your valuable help.
Have I nice and prosperous day.  :)

I just played with the VirtueMart Products - Recently Viewed Products module a little bit. I can change the display for example to four products in a row or any number of products in a column, depending on the module settings. However, what the user will see in the frontend, depends on the cache settings. It is affected by the VM cache, Joomla cache and browser cache. I'm not aware of any method which sets the user's browser cache to 'off'. Also note, that the content of the module needs to fit into your assigned template module position.

I'm aware of all matters you analyzed. The problem seems to be an interference with shopfront settings. Dear Max, do you have any suggestion?
P.S.: Thanks for your time jjk!

Hello, Might be a bit late with this msg, but have you tried to play around with the caching settings?

If you have specific need to get products, then don't use core modules and do it yourself.
So you can check for eg. if you are in the productdetails view or not, remove unwanted current product...
Another way, is to check that in current list, you have the product displayed and unset it from the list with a foreach loop in your overide tmpl file.
