Cart Total disappears on continue shopping only

Hi-

My cart module works great- says how many items and totals.  But if I add an item, then click the "continue shopping" link, the cart displays only the number of products.

If I click the close window x instead, the cart is updated and displays the number of items and total as normal.

How can I always display the cart total?  Displaying the number of items alone is not very useful.

That is not spam. You have been guided to provide information about your versions, template and URL so that someone may give up some of their valuable free time to provide help. If you can't be bothered to provide this then you cannot expect someone to spend time trying to guess.

actually - you are wasting your apparently valuable time with moronic questions - if you dont know the answer then dont respond.. you put more effort into being hard-headed, obtuse, forum police rather than to lift a finger in help.  Why the hell would you assume anybody was running anything but the latest.. do you assume all users are complete idiots?  Is that your base assumption?

So i ask again - instead of playing virtual hall monitor - take a break and leave me alone - if somebody knows the answer or wants to help, they can participate.  If you're just going to be an ass- save your energy and go play forum police with somebody else.

it's obviously a common problem -there are over a 100 views since I started this topic - stop playing dumb.

wiseacre, your behaviour is becoming unacceptable. Abuse of any forum member here is a contavention of forum rules, which you signed up to when you registered..

To provide an answer we do need to know exatly the versions you use, the template that you use and the URL. And FYI very few users are on the latest versions, J3.4.8 with VM3.0.12 (or 3.0.12.2 if using the latest from SVN).  More than 70% of issues that people have are related to their choice of third party templates. If you are not willing to divulge the basic information then do not expect assistance.

100 views? Then wonder why has nobody provided an answer......
