Transfer USERS from joomla 2.5 to a fresh new joomla 3.4

Hallo,

i have a major issue to solve. I have an e-commerce website using joomla 2.5 and virtuemart 2. But apart from the fact it's obsolete, it's messed up as well. So i have created a fresh new website using joomla 3.4 and virtuemart 3.

1.I want to transfer the users from 2.5 to 3
2.I want to transfer virtuemart users, products,categories to the new site.

I am very good in mysql. However i don't know which tables i should export/import. Can anyone help?

basically all the #_virtuemart_xxxx then run "Install or if necessary update tables"

make sure you migrate your joomla users first!  Think there is a free ext for this....

but personally I would first try on a copy of the old one .. J2.5->VM3
then J2.5->J3. what's to loose?

Have you used a backup of the live site J2.5 to create the new J3 site? I've just recently had to work my way through this process, having not had a clue where to start up to that point.
