Referral Rewards

Is it possible to have affiliates or a kind a referrals rewards with Virtumart. I'm not sure if I'm using the right name? i.e. The seller give to a School Principal flyers with a special code, the School advertise the product then if buyers use that specific code when they purchase the product and a confirmation email is send also to the school principal and to the seller.
In other words I want to build an eCommerce website using Virtuemart for a client in which resellers can have a specific code for their own business that they give to their customers, and when those customers buy a product from the website using the code, the reseller along with the website and the customer all receive a confirmation email of the purchase with that code.
Do you have a work around idea? The idea is, I advertise your product/s than I get a percentage of it.
