I happens on new lines out of what i can see.
Is this expected behavior?

First, test with the latest vm, it may be fixed already (this is always valid)
Second your joomla is also old, you should use j3.4.3.
third Do you use any 3rd party extension for your invoices?

I've tried to update to latest version. actually im running production with latest version and i still get those

Is there anything i can do that can help check something?

like if you send me a long textstring i can paste in, and we can see how it responds?
can you recreate the same characters if you put my footer in the place of your own? maybe its something only related to MY server / MY installation etc..
